Welcome to another edition of our newsletter.

The European Tour's flagship event took place over the weekend as some of the world's best golfers descended upon Wentworth for the BMW Championship. Traditionally, it's always been held in May but was moved back this year so it didn't clash with the rearranged Major schedule.

The weather was fantastic, the course looked immaculate and some of the PGA Tour's best players made the journey over the Atlantic Ocean to compete, but we want to know if you enjoyed the event as much this year as in previous years.

Winter is coming

Have you ever noticed how much harder you need to hit your putts in the winter compared to summer? As surfaces begin to slow due to longer grass and wetter greens, the need for a little extra effort on your putting stroke becomes clear.

Should you change your putter?

As putts need to be hit harder to get the ball going the same distance as they do in the summer months, using a heavier putter certainly won’t do you any harm.

The thought here is that a heavier putter will do more of the work for you, allowing for a smooth and more controlled putting stroke.

Whilst still being relatively lightweight compared to some putters, Wilson Staff's Infinite range is certainly an option we'd recommend you trying.
